Seminar Topic: Te Purenga: Māori Land Court Urewera Minutes Professor Taiarahia Black is chair of Te Reo Māori at Massey University and is an internationally regarded expert in Māori language revitalisation and scholarly compositions in a range of genre. Through his various roles as a teacher, writer of traditional and contemporary Māori language resources, researcher, and doctoral supervisor he is involved in numerous Māori language projects. Professor Black has tribal affiliations to Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Te Whānau a Apanui . In recognition of the Māori New Year “Matariki”, all seminars held in June will be presented in Te Reo Māori.
